Ahoy!

Zac here. There are so many secret projects that I’m desperate to tell you about.

Like, I’d love to tell you about a new Pirate Borg book cover and spreads that I just saw.
Or the new adventure we just wrapped up and sent to the printer.
Or these work-in-progress sculpts we’ve been approving.
Or how many dang maps are going to be in the war chest of another project.
Or why the Dark Caribbean page over on the website got a facelift this week.
Or who we’ve got in the queue for Season 2 of the Ship of the Dead podcast.

But I can’t talk about any of that, so instead, here’s a picture of Luke running [REDACTED] for Jorbin, Joseph R. Lewis, Matt, and Shadowdark’s Kelsey and Michael  at PAGE this past week:

Patreon FREE Release: Shanty Town

We’re quietly putting together some sort of mega-map, and the Shanty Town is its next piece. You can connect it to the beach map in the Starter Set, and to the Hangman's Beach map, and to the Hangman’s Jungle.

For Patreon members, there’s also 17 variations for more generic beach, nighttime, storms, hauntings, blood-soaked beaches, and Tyler’s got the Foundry module ready.

There’s also 100+ maps that are already over there free for the taking.

Giveaways & Kickstarter Fulfillment

There’s another full update over on Kickstarter, but the big notes are:

  • All items are through customs and should be at both warehouses in a few days!

  • All items are now on our webstore for preorder (fulfilling after the Kickstarter orders)!

Giveaway Contest

We've got a very, very few of these Limited Editions of the core book left. You can't buy them from us (unless we show up with a random few at a show)...but you can win one! Here's how:

  • Then (A) post to your own social media (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/BlueSky) and/or our Facebook Group, (B), tag us (@limithron), and (C) include #pirateborgbooty in your post.

Give-Away Items: Starting the week of February 16th and going through March 16th, we're going to give away one signed Limited Edition each week. That's five chances to win!

Selection Process: Each week, Tyler and I will peruse all posts with #pirateborgbooty and do a semi-random selection for the winner. We'll announce winners on our Facebook Group, Discord, and in the comment section here on Kickstarter, and we'll DM you directly on socials. You'll have a week to respond before we move on to the next person.

If we're not traveling, we may even pop into a video chat on the Discord and do the selection live.

Missing/Incomplete Surveys

About 80 of you either have incomplete or unpaid surveys. If you can't find your survey when you log in, here are some things to try:

  • Search your email for "Response Needed — Get your reward for PIRATE BORG: Down Among the Dead", or 

  • Check your login; some folks end up with two different Backerkit email profiles, or

  • If you absolutely can’t find your survey, you can request it directly: downamongthedead.backerkit.com, or

  • If all of those fail, you can hit me up (zac@limithron.com), giving me your name and Backer Number, and I'll help if I can.

Upcoming Conventions

I think we’ll probably break a company record for the most shows attended this year.
